Lilly Winfree earned her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law. During law school, she was a Research Fellow at the National Institute for Workers’ Rights, where she tracked developments in federal labor and employment law. She was also selected as a Peggy Browning Fund Fellow and worked in-house with a labor union. In addition, Lilly worked as a student attorney in the Economic Justice Clinic representing clients in a variety of matters, from consumer protection to estate cases. She was an active member of the Holderness Moot Court program’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Team. She also received recognition for completing over 100 hours of pro bono work.
Lilly is a proud double Tar Heel, having graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in City and Regional Planning. Before law school, she conducted microeconomic research on education and immigration policies.
In her spare time, Lilly enjoys roller skating, reading for her many book clubs, and rooting for the Greensboro Grasshoppers.
