Barrett & Farahany is representing Jada Beard in a gender discrimination lawsuit against Pars Car Sales Inc., filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. The case, numbered 1:24-cv-04298, outlines allegations that Beard, a seasoned sales professional with over a decade of experience including substantial time in automotive sales, was denied a sales position based on her gender.
According to the complaint, Beard was informed by a sales manager at the Duluth, Georgia dealership that the company had ceased hiring women for sales roles following a previous sexual harassment lawsuit. Despite her qualifications, Beard’s application was disregarded, and a less experienced male candidate was hired instead. This decision was allegedly influenced by a company policy enacted after a 2013 sexual harassment case involving a female employee.
Jada Beard is represented by Constance Cooper from Barrett & Farahany. Pars Car Sales Inc. has not provided a comment on the lawsuit.
