Shannah Sacco is a Case Evaluation Law Clerk at Barrett & Farahany. She graduated from the University of Illinois, at Chicago, School of Law (“UIC”) in 2023 with her J.D. degree. Prior to joining the firm, Shannah worked as a Domestic Violence Law Clerk at the North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic during this time she obtained 40 hours of domestic violence training through “A Safe Place”.
During law school, Shannah had an externship with the Illinois Innocence Project and the National Council on Disability. In addition, Shannah helped found the UIC chapter of the Law School Mental Health Association to assist matriculating law students. Shannah has a strong background in advocacy work and a passion for systemic change. Shannah is published on the topic of healthcare discrimination in the Illinois State Bar Association and Decalogue Society of Lawyers.
Shannah received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Ithaca College, where she majored in political science and philosophy. During her time in undergrad, Shannah became a member of Pi Kappa Delta and competed in debate tournaments. In 2020, Shannah worked for the labor and employment class action division at Seyfarth Shaw, LLP.
In her spare time, Shannah enjoys taking her rescue dog to the park and swimming.
