Barrett & Farahany

As 2023 comes to a close, Barrett & Farahany, the largest and oldest law firm in the Southeast dedicated exclusively to employee rights, would like to reflect on a few of our proudest accomplishments of the year!

This year, Barrett & Farahany created branches led by our partners Kira Fonteneau, Severin Roberts, and Matt Billips, expanded into Illinois with Partner Aaron Maduff, and welcomed Partner Victoria Williamson. We also launched a branch new website, designed entirely with our clients in mind.

We introduced three bills in to the Georgia legislature to advance workers’ rights, with advancements towards those bills becoming law in 2024. Partners Amanda Farahany and Victoria Williamson also began working with a lobbyist in Washington, DC, lobbying Congress to introduce a bill to eliminate caps on damages. Our team of attorneys also successfully tried several cases, including a racial discrimination hiring case in which an Atlanta man was awarded over $3M.

The firm contributed to the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program and was recognized by Expertise.com as One of the Top Employment Lawyers in the Atlanta Area for 2023, recognized by Best Lawyers in America®, and ranked in the 2024 edition of Best Law Firms®. Managing Partner Amanda Farahany was also honored as the NELA Georgia 2023 Advocacy Award Recipient, selected for membership in The National Trial Lawyers, and celebrated twenty-five years of bringing justice to the workplace.

In the new year, Benjamin Stark will become partner, leading our Motions Counsel team after eleven years of service to workers’ rights at Barrett & Farahany.

We look forward to all that 2024 will bring and strive to uphold our mission of being not just a law firm, but as Managing Partner Amanda Farahany says, “a haven for those seeking justice, a platform for voices that need to be heard, and a force that challenges the status quo with integrity and passion.”
