Zachary Panter Quoted by Law360 on Wrongful Termination Case

Posted by B&F System Admin | Dec 23, 2020

Recently, a member of the Georgia Army National Guard reserve – Araceli Perez – alleged that she was wrongfully terminated by Onin Staffing LLC, and that the termination was done in retaliation for her absence due to military duty.

Perez's counsel is Zachary Panter, a lawyer at Barrett & Farahany, and the story was recently covered in an article by Law360.

Perez also alleged that she and other employees were told that they couldn't speak Spanish in the office and that her termination coincided with the termination of another Spanish-speaking employee.

"To preserve the safety of our nation, our service members who serve honorably must have the assurance that once their service is complete, they can return to their civilian careers with no disruption," said Panter, Perez's counsel. "In this case, Ms. Perez was denied that right."
