Emily Cashour

Seasonal Associate

Emily Cashour is a current second-year law student at Georgia State University. In the summer of 2025, she worked with the Dekalb County Public Defender’s Office, representing clients under the supervision of public defense attorneys, participating in client interviews, and conducting independent legal research and discovery review. In the fall of 2025 she worked with Atlanta Legal Aid Society’s Disability Integration Project (the Olmstead Clinic), representing both children and adults in special education and administrative proceedings in order to ensure clients received all accommodations services guaranteed to them under current law.

Prior to law school, Emily received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Writing from Loyola University Maryland, and a Master’s Degree in Anthropology from California Institute of Integral Studies. She completed a dissertation examining the complex racial identity with a particular focus on the mixed-race identity and the limitations surrounding current constructions of race in the United States.

I enjoy being outside and going for runs with my dog, traveling, trying new restaurants, and reading (whenever I get a chance to read things outside of law materials!)
