In a recent pregnancy bias lawsuit, a former secretary for the Hall County Juvenile Court, represented by Barrett & Farahany partner Matthew Billips, alleges that her supervisor and the juvenile court administrator subjected her to gender discrimination and the former juvenile court judge wrongfully terminated her employment. She cites that after she informed them of her pregnancy in December 2021, she was required to submit doctor’s notes for all appointments — something that no other employee had to do — and was given an increased workload with no additional compensation before eventually being fired in March 2022.
