Executive Profile: Atlanta employment attorney brings voice, justice to victims
Atlanta employment attorney Amanda A. Farahany said what keeps her going through difficult cases of sexual harassment, gender discrimination, wrongful termination and other workplace issues is her opportunity to give wronged clients a voice.
Farahany, partner in Barrett & Farahany and named to the Top 50: Georgia Super Lawyers list this year, also serves as an advocate for awareness of these issues throughout the metro area and country. In 2013, Farahany’s firm published a study that analyzed the rate of dismissal for employment discrimination cases in the Northern District of Georgia in 2011 and 2012. Through the firm’s Justice at Work initiative, a study that covers 2010 to 2018 will be published later this year, and then will become a quarterly publication extending beyond Georgia.
