Ianna Richardson focuses her practice on representing workers in employment law matters. Most recently recognized in the 2025 Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America list for her work in Litigation – Labor and Employment, her clients value her compassion and responsiveness as they navigate the complex legal process and their issues in the workplace.
Before joining Barrett & Farahany, Ianna represented federal employees before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Merit Systems Protection Board, Office of Federal Operations, and Federal Court. Ianna prosecuted discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and whistleblowing cases, while also defending federal careers. She is admitted to practice in the Northern, Middle, and Southern Federal District Courts of Georgia, the Georgia State and Superior Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Georgia.
Ianna earned her law degree from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law, where she also served as President of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and Christian Legal Society. She also received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Labor Law during law school and was an active member of The Bruce Comly French American Inn of Court. Ianna currently serves on the Board for the Georgia Affiliate of the National Employment Lawyer’s Association and for the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers.
Ianna graduated from Georgia State University, with a Bachelor of Arts in English and is a New Jersey native where she attended Roselle Catholic High School. When she is not practicing law, Ianna is likely reading a book, cooking, bike riding, or spending time with her family and friends.
