On Thursday, December 5, 2013,Amanda Farahany, a founding partner of Barrett & Farahany, LLP, LLP, a leading employment law firm in Atlanta, will share her insights on workplace law at the Third Annual Southeast Financial Workplace Law & Compliance Conference. Through her presentation, “Workplace Lawsuits Are Back,” Farahany will outline the rise in discrimination, compensation and harassment lawsuits as well as the steps employers can take to remain compliant with legal guidelines and create a welcoming workplace for all.

Farahany joins other legal experts, accountants and consultants from across the region for this special two-day conference hosted by the Community Banks Association of Georgia (CBA) and the Southeast Financial Consortium. From December 5-6, the Conference, designed for human resources professionals, CEO's and others responsible for financial matters, employment law and related compliance, will outline best practices to help companies implement risk management protocol.

Speakers at the Conference will cover those legal issues most pertinent to financial companies today, including the Affordable Care Act, risk management, data security, regulatory examinations, employee relations, compensation, contractor regulations, succession planning, internal investigations, social media, and relationships in the workplace.
