Eagling is an advocate at heart and has devoted her professional life to giving a voice to those who are unheard. Melissa understands how timely information and advice can have life changing implications for someone faced with difficult situations in their workplace. She listens actively to understand client needs to find the best solution to their unique circumstances.
Before joining Barrett & Farahany, Melissa spent the past decade working with several diverse practices. She has contracted with Atlanta Legal Aid, interned with Bridges Across Borders Southeast Asia and Care International, and volunteered with World Relief in addition to mediating landlord-tenant cases in Fulton County Magistrate Court.
Melissa is also an active parent within the disabled community. She has served as an Americorps Parent Advocate with Extra Special People, Inc. and is a member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates.
Melissa earned her law degree from Georgia State University after completing her undergraduate degree at Florida State University.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her four children, cooking, reading, and gardening.
