Deborah Stewart began working with Barrett & Farahany in January of 2020. Deborah earned both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master's in Public Administration from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. She began her professional career in banking, transitioned into management consulting, and went on to earn her JD from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School.
A member of the Georgia Bar since 2010, Deborah was in solo practice prior to joining Barrett & Farahany. Deborah's experience has been in the Probate, Business Law, Social Security and Estate Planning areas; all practice areas where compassion, empathy and a keen understanding of the law are necessary. Having both transactional and litigation experience, Deborah has the unique advantage of seeing cases resolved from start to finish. In her solo practice, Deborah successfully and intensely defended clients in contract disputes, probate litigation, and other contested matters. She brings that same level of intensity, compassion, empathy and understanding to the clients she assists at Barrett and Farahany.
Outside of law practice, Deborah enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering, and traveling.
