Deborah A. Stewart

Deborah Stewart represents individuals in employment law matters where she believes it is important to have compassion, empathy and a keen understanding of the laws and their impacts on employees.

Deborah was in solo practice before joining Barrett & Farahany in January of 2020. Deborah's legal experience has been in the Probate, Business Law, Social Security and Estate Planning areas. Having both transactional and litigation experience, Deborah has the unique advantage of seeing cases resolved from start to finish. In her solo practice, Deborah intensely and successfully defended clients in contract disputes, probate litigation, and other contested matters. She brings that same level of intensity, compassion, and empathy to the clients she assists at Barrett and Farahany.

Before practicing law, Deborah had careers in banking and management consulting.

She earned her law degree from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School. Deborah earned both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master's in Public Administration from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

Deborah is involved in her community. She formerly served as President of the Greater North Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She is a member of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA) and Delta Sigma Theta.

Outside of her law practice, Deborah enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering, and traveling.
